bubber27 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2009 Get over yourself, kid. Got three people on here (i'm the third), with extensive computer knowledge and are willing to help out if they know the answer, and you don't want to ask the question publicly. Why?You'll start to realize as you get older, that asking questions doesn't make you look weak or stupid.
number18 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2009 thats why we have message boards and off topic areas, i hate asking questions for fear of looking stupid for asking a noobie question. but i've got over that lol. ask away
Ahriman 1 Report post Posted August 19, 2009 It's not a "noobie" question. He's asking for a serial code generator so he can steal software, thats what a keygen is for. My advice: stop stealing software. I can't imagine many BB admins being too happy about requests for software theft threads either.

The admins/owners here probably do not want to be running an advice column on stealing software...Lots of cracked software can crash your computer and/or infect it with a virus; you should just download the demo, and then if you decide you really want the program, fork out the cash. sabres48 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2009 Keygens can be used to enable software you bought to be able to operate without the disc. Yes, more commonly they are used for pirating software, however that is not the application i am using them fore. Evidently there is noone on this forum with an extensive knowledge base in compressed files/keygens, which is fine. I took a stab at it and came up empty. I am asking for help over aim because i need step by step help, easier done over a messanger service than MSH. Jasson Harris thank you attempting to help. I know enough to help you with just about anything you're trying to accomplish, I'm just not going to because of how I feel about what you'd do with that knowledge. The good news is there is no such thing as a "keygen" for mac platform software, it would be like asking a short order cook in georgia for a plate of bangers and mash, you're not speaking the language properly. kosydar 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2009 Hey guys, need a little bit of help. I'm using a Macbook with OS X that I purchased in April of 2008 (roughly 19 months ago). Everything on it has been fine, etc. My normal battery life is around 3-4 hours. Tonight I turn on my computer and I see my start up battery time is starting at 51 minutes, having been fully charged during the day. I restart my computer and its the same thing. I do a little poking around online and see that the battery life is supposed to be good through 300 cycles (whatever that means). My current info is that I'm on my 302nd cycle, my full charging capacity is 965 mAh (apparently 1/3rd what it should be), and the battery condition is poor. Is there any thing I can do to improve my battery life? Would it be worth calling Apple Care to see if I can get a warranty replacement on the battery? Or is this just normal? Thanks in advance for the help.
jds 20 Report post Posted December 15, 2009 I've seen this happen to about a dozen Mac laptops where I work. I had one that would last maybe 20 minutes tops after a full night charging. According to our IT dept., it's just time to replace the battery.
Law Goalie 147 Report post Posted December 15, 2009 If you're under AppleCare, call up and stress that the change was sudden, rather than gradual. Lithium batteries will degrade over time, but a sudden drop-off is usually acceptable as a sign of some latent manufacturing defect that suddenly reared up. If you stress the fact that it was fine one night and suddenly terrible the next morning, you'll probably get some movement. If you're not under AppleCare, check your credit card to see if you have extended warranty protection. They're typically very quick to cover this kind of thing. In future, try not to over-charge, especially overnight. Charge to 100% then disconnect, or charge as full as possible then top off in the morning while you're eating breakfast.

kosydar 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2009 I woke up this morning and now its down to 30 minutes max. I'll call Apple Care. Thanks.
kosydar 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2010 Got another question. On my same Macbook (whose battery is mysteriously better...), I want to try hook it up to my LCD TV. I went to my campus bookstore, and their cheapest option was $60. Is there a cheaper option out there?
Ahriman 1 Report post Posted January 7, 2010 Brick and mortar stores have huge markups on cables:http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB572Z/A -- if your tv has vgahttp://store.apple.com/us/product/MB570Z/A -- if your tv has dvi / hdmi (of course you'll need a dvi to hdmi converter if it doesnt have a direct dvi port which is only a couple of bucks anywhere)
