Known NHL Flexes

At one point most of his 9ks were mostly wood plug under the tape job, this one looks like it could be as well.

Patrick Eaves does the same thing with his sticks too. He basically has a full length wood plug on his se16's

Is there an advantage to doing this ? or is it all palyer pp ?

In effect and depending on the length of the plug, it may serve to act as a counterweight to the blade on a very light stick. Hence why the SE16s have a weight in the upper part of the stick.

I recently purchased a One95 shaft/blade combo and thought it felt absolutely stunning, yet slightly blade heavy. Hardly noticeable, but it was there. I wanted a contoured grip, as I usually use older Easton shafts with the wood end plug that I sand down (kinda like Roenick used to do). So I shortened the shaft, added a wood plug, and sanded it down. Not only do I now have the grip I prefer, but the stick is balanced supremely as well.

I would absolutely kill to have a lefty Walz stick. His curve is perfect (1/2 or so mid-toe), stick is perfect (Dolo), flex is perfect (~70 per the Wild equipment manager)...and Walz was one of my favorite players.

Also, don't pros who use those full end plugs often re-use them with new sticks? That way they don't have to re-tape them all the time.
