Been a long time

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, been about a year since I've been on the site, I bought a house last fall and money became tight and being on here regularly was definitely not good for my bank account lol Anyways, I had a few questions I hope you guys could answer:

1) Has there been any word on how long the Sakic curve will last for Easton sticks? And will it be rebranded with the same curve but new name, or will it be a new curve altogether?

2) I did a search but couldn't find one, is there a thread for the new S19 stick? I figured that since it will retail in a few weeks, there'd be something on it by now.

3) I wear one of those mirrored itech visors (yes, insert heckle here...luckily I can play well enough to get by with it), and one of the guys on my mens league team that refs says that it is now not allowed by USAHockey. I knew you couldn't wear it in youth leagues and such, but he said that even mens leagues now its not allowed. Anyone know if this is true?

Thanks in advance

Too late to change Sakic for this year, I would expect a change for the 2010 selling season

JR has had an S19 for a few months, various topics include mentions of it

Thanks Chadd. So you expect a whole new curve, or just the name? Or none of the above?

I did a search for S19 and nothing came up... maybe theres a minimum character requirement for searches?

hm interesting, guess its due to the concussion/see-the-eyes thing. Haven't been told anything from a ref besides the guy on my team, but most of the local refs know me well so might be cutting some slack.

Thanks again

That thing sells like hotcakes and it isn't remotely close to his pro stock curve, so don't expect the curve to change just because Joe retired. It will eventually be replaced by another name, Toews maybe?

Four character minimum for searches, try doing an advanced search on google. Use MSH as the site andS19, you should get some hits.

I would guess that it is the eye thing as well as the people that have been making their own tinted visors. There is just no way for the refs to know what is legit and what is not. More than anything, I believe it's a generational thing.

isn't that (according to this PDF) only being applied for Junior A and B classifications?

yes, thats just for Junior A and B, total fair play for Junior C leagues unless otherwise stated.

Furthermore, in Junior A and B iirc, you must have a 3 point visor instead of a 2 point visor. In canada CSA mandates ALL junior players must wear 3 point visor. For pros, and mens league stuff unless otherwise stated in such leagues, you can wear whatever you want, certified or not.
