I know Porsche puts a product called cosmoline on the underneath of their cars when shipping them by boat to prevent any rust damage. It does eventually burn off when heated enough, but they might make something more permanent.

I don't really worry about it. There's so much non-rusting alloy on the bottom of my cars that it's not really that big a deal.
