Pros/Cons of longer steel/runners on a smaller size skate......

Supposedly you'll get better stability and speed, but agility will suffer, I think. Personally, I wouldn't do it

Isnt this similar to what NBH did on the One90 skates?

Anyways, I thought longer steel/runners helps with speed and such, longer steel means less strides needed or something along those lines.

Longer Steel : Better straight out speed. More contact on the ice. ( ie Speed Skates )

Shorter Steel: Slightly less speed but greater mobility for turns and manoeverablilty.

a 9' radius is a 9' radius, no matter how long the steel.
