Plasti Dip

Recommended Posts

Right, you'd be much better off buying TackiMacs.

It will peel immediately once you use the stick, given that there is so much friction between your palms and the tape. PlastiDip is nice on a smooth shaft while it lasts, and, as evidenced here, it doesn't last particularly long.

I tried the stick out tonight and it worked much better than expected. No peeling or noticable wear and had a nice grip. I'll try it a few more games and if it holds, I'll dip all of my stick ends.

I know this is the plasidip thread....

However, having tried plasitdip: Is there not some rubber spray out there? What are the stick manufacturers using? Im stuggling to believe that a lasting grip spray is not available to regular consumers.

Has anyone used plasti-dip on the butt-end of the stick?...Apply tape then dip it, instead of buying tacki-mac grips to save my gloves. I'm curious since I have a can sitting around, and wondered how well it would hold up.

After 6 uses with this method, the end is holding up very well, no peeling. I am so pleased with it I decided to do it on 2 more of my sticks.

I wonder how that new FlexSeal spray would work.

I picked up some clear stuff from home depot that was absolutely useless. I think they all peel, it's just a matter of how thick you spray it on. Even flex seal isn't designed for abrasion resistance.
