Does he sit in the box for 7 straight minutes? Or does #1 from team a sit for the cross check penalty while #11 only sits for the 5?

chippa13 1844 Report post Posted December 8, 2009 If memory serves, Number 11 will sit for 7 while a player on his team serves the 2 minutes that his team will be short.

shotty 7 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 the way i've always seen it go down is this way: #11 and #3 would be kicked out, and one player from each team would have to serve those guys' 5 min fighting majors (offsetting penalties). a second player would serve #11's initial minor penalty to give the opposing team a power play, then come out to make it even strength when it expires. the two guys serving the fighting major would sit in the box until the first whistle after the major penalty expires. if the players dont get the boot, an extra player would sit for the 2 min PK. I think he does.
