The barcode is considered your proof of purchase. No barcode, no free stick.

Simply providing a receipt wouldn't work because you could have returned them..

I'd call CCM and explain it, they're pretty cool about stuff generally and if an employee will vouch that you have not returned the product, there's no good reason they should deny your claim.

Why dont you go to your LHS and have them cut a UPC from another box after explaining what happened? You did just buy a 500 plus dollar pair of skates from them for gods sake. Also on my U+ box there were 2 upcs so its not like they couldnt still scan the ones that they cut it from and the stick offer is over on Jan 15th anyway so its not like everyone will need those UPC's after that date. Its worth a try and that way you would def have a UPC to send in, but i would still just call ccm customer service and explain the situation and see if they will just let you get the stick with the receipt first.

I got mine today. It is an 87 flex tavares and it is in the orange and blue islanders color (which i didnt even know existed acutally).

I mailed my receipt/barcode in on December 28th

None of the suggested things worked but thanks for all the help, the person I talked too from CCM customer service was actually pretty rude, when I said I didn't have a barcode he said well that's your fault sorry, and just hung up immediately after. I understand it's my fault but still not a way to talk to a customer.

Not the same question. But I got my CL in the mail and the heel is starting to chip after 3 games. Question 1. Is this something that would be covered under the 30 day warranty and 2. Is there the 30 day warranty on the "free" stick?

So it would have to actually break at the heel? which if its starting to separate could happen... Any idea when the 30 day time frame would have started since there was no purchase? The ship date? or the date I received the package?

Presumably you had to sign for the stick and if so I believe it would start on the date you received and signed for the stick.

Just out of curiosity, Did anyone else only decide to pull the trigger on the U+ Reloadeds because of the $200+ free stick?

I honestly have NEVER paid full price for a pair of skates (Minus a pair of 1052s when i was in middle school but that was my parents paying) until now and the only reason I justified it was that the stick that they are giving away is over $200.

In retrospect I think I got a really good deal for $549 to get the skates and the stick, I am def glad I decided to do it.

Wow $399 for a pair of $550 skates and a $200 stick, thats an awesome deal, especially considering both are current line items and not older clearance stuff.

Yea I ended up with about $1000 worth of stuff for $510
