Need help choosing ice skates

Hi all

I currently have a pair of Mission Leuitenant Skates in a US 10 for my roller hockey. I like the fit, it works for me.

One of my goals this year is to start playing ice hockey at some point.

Can anyone reccomend a similar fitting ice skate? I dont want to mess around changing chassis etc - just want an off the shelf skate.

Plus any other tips for buying ice skates would be helpful - for a complete ice skate newbie.

When it comes to skates, as brand choice, you can't go wrong with Bauer. Good skates, good fit in general, very cool looking, good durability, overall best skates out there. Just my 2cents

If you like mission you can still get them, and for a good price. IMO if your just switching these are prob your best bet.

most likely it'll fit the same, but i'm not expert on the inline skates so don't take my word for it :P

agreed you can never go wrong with bauer and ive tried ccm rbk and graphs never like any of them as much and I haven't bought anything but bauer since

All the mission skates roller or ice will fit the same.

Yes. Those will fit the same as your Lieutenants.

Why not buy another pair of inline boots and have ice holders installed? There is an opinion out there that roller boots aren't as stiff and can't handle the ice hockey load, but I switched a pair of mission roller boots to ice skates and can debunk that myth. They CAN handle it.

This way, you know how the fit is already, and if you have an extra pair of inline skates lying around, you can save yourself a bunch of dough.

Nowhere near me to get them fitted, and gear is already so expensive over here, so buying skates plus blades wouldnt work out as good - apart form the fact that they will fit well.
