I agree the ONE 95s are far wider than the vapor line. My old Vapor XX's never fit like these width and depth wise in the same size. Great Skate for a fat foot. hahahaha

I've been measured up by my lhs as having a foot size that has a width that is right in the middle of being D or EE (according to the foot measured) and the guy in the shop said it was really up to me which one I went for.

To the experts - specifically in the one95 skate should I be in a D or EE width skate?

Once the lhs orders them in for me I'm basically comitted to buying the skates even if they are the wrong width so I really need to get this right first go. Thank you to anyone who can help me.

Edit - hello to everyone on this excellent board and community.

I'm not sure why you would be comitted to buying brand new skates from a LHS. It would seem that if they order them and they don't fit, they could send them back or keep them in stock for someone else. The whole point of going to a LHS over buying on line is to get the fit correct before you buy.

That said, I'll bet the D width in the One95 fits you.

For my lhs the high end stuff isn't stocked it has to be ordered in from the supplier unfortunately. While I'm sure I wouldn't HAVE to buy them, it's not something I would want to do to them.

Thank you for the help anyway!

What is the general consensus for people who are in the middle of D and EE? Or is it skate specific?

If your shop was more familiar with high end skates, I would say that you should go with the narrower skate. The shop can always make them wider by punching them out, but they can never make a skate narrower.

If you are not comfortable that they can do that for you, it becomes a much more difficult question.

Isn't there a video out there somewhere where they show a golf ball being pushed through the side to show the malleability?

so i guess these are no good for taking a shot from a puck? Only taken one off the foot (on the tongue) which hurt quite a bit but expected it.

I would think the D width. With how deep these skates are and how much they will form when heated. I wear the EE width and am between a EE and EEE width and mine fit fine and give great ankle lock

That's the one thing the 75's apparently don't do- not nearly as heat moldable.

Not sure if you saw my thread on the One95's but I just picked them up in 10 C, which, if D had a little too much volume/width, should work better for you. As JR pointed out, you can always get them punched out.

Thank you for the tip, I really appreciate it. However, my problem is that according the the scale in-store I am right in the middle of D and EE. Since the one95 is actually a wide skate from what I've read it seems like D would be most appropriate for me. I hope...
