Blade Insertion

Recommended Posts

Well i knew it didnt feel secure when i put it in the first time

Took a heavy slash and the blade came loose so i had to stop playing with it ):

Insterted it today hopefully the glue hardens well...like last time when i pushed it in a lot of glue came out which makes me worry for some unkown reason

Playing in a few hours so hopefully i can give it another test then, if it comes loose again i will have to add tape to the hosel and really force it in

What is the best glue to use for this? What does a LHS use for glue when needed?

Some of the accessory companies sell glue, but I always went to the craft store and picked up some of the really long, fairly thin sticks for 10 or 20 cents a piece. The longer, thin sticks make it less likely that you will burn your fingers than the short, fat sticks that most brands sell.

Essentially, these:

I find that they are cheaper at the local craft store though.

Thanks! Now I just need a bench table with a vise and I'll have my work shop all set up. I'm going to build a stick rack as well. Those pics will be down the road
