ACHA rules on Jersey advertisements

Recommended Posts

My team is currently considering new jerseys. We are an ACHA Div. 2 team. In order to make the jerseys more affordable, we are considering placing advertisements for sponsors on the jerseys. My question is, are there any by-laws or rules that cover this territory? I haven't seen a college club team with advertisements on their jerseys yet, and I feel it would be a great way to lower our costs. Thanks for any help.

I'm not 100% sure. If you can't get your hands on a rule book, I would email Mike R (the D2 commish) or your regional reps. Mike is good with email and should respond quickly.

Thanks Moose, I had thought of that, but figured maybe someone in the MSH community might have had a similar idea lately. I'll be sure to post my findings if/when I email him, for future reference.

Mike is really accommodating. A quick email and you'd get your answer. However, if you don't want to bother him, the rulebook is on the site and there is a section just for uniforms. If there is no rule against it, it should technically be allowed.

Youngstown St. has sponsors on the back of their jerseys. I don't know that I've seen others but for a commish to veto it is kind of silly, as long as there are guidelines.

Fairly good, probably getting a few more AAA guys (if you can call it that anymore, it's watered down a lot in IL/MO it seems), and I think maybe one more kid that played CSHL juniors. No one's looking to play pro hockey here though, just a bunch of guys getting a really good education, who happen to be fairly skilled at hockey, and got lucky enough to have some fairly decent competition. That's my view of it at least.
