bostonjuniorblackhawks 1 Report post Posted March 19, 2010 I have a pair of U+ pro's in size 9.5 E. With my toes pushed all the way forward so that the touch the toe cap in the boot, I can barley fit a pencil behind my heel. When I skate in these, my heel is locked in and my toes do not brush the front of the boot. I was wondering if I went with to large of a size. I also have a pair of prostock xxxx's in size 11 EE that have never seen the ice. I have baked them though. I have a bit more room behind my heel when I touch my toes to the toe cap. I was wondering If these seem too big, so that I can sell them to purchase skates that fit correctly. I bought these for $200, so I think I can easily get my money back. When I tied these, my heel was locked in tightly and didn't move at all. Is having a bit of extra length in skates going to effect my skating much?Any input is greatly appreciated and I realize that these questions may sound pretty dumb. Thanks,Bob
hamstercaster 2 Report post Posted March 19, 2010 The Vapors IMO are way too big for you. As for the U+ they seem alright. You may have been able to go a half size smaller but you would have had to try that smaller size to know for sure.
kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted March 19, 2010 Looks like you went about a half size too big on the vapors. CCM's are fine.

You may have been able to go a half size smaller but you would have had to try that smaller size to know for sure.I figured that. I feel that the 9 in a U+ would be too small, plus I didn't have a choice as the were a warrenty replacement for my rbk pumps. XXXX's will most likely be in the for sale section tonight................Also If I found another pair of xxxx's, should I go down a half or full size? I tried on 9.5 xxxx's and those were too small. Jordan 13 Report post Posted March 19, 2010 Those vapors look to be several sizes too big. I think that the 9.5 size in the vapors that you tried on, felt too small because the boot is likely not a good match for your foot. The CCMs look fine though.

hamstercaster 2 Report post Posted March 19, 2010 Then you may want to try a 10 instead as 11s are clearly too big.
starsfan71 9 Report post Posted March 19, 2010 Those Vapors are MASSIVE on you. The CCM's look OK IMO,They could still be a bit snugger in the perfect world.
