Ahriman 1 Report post Posted April 5, 2010 It seems likely I'll be moving to Corvallis Oregon soon for the next few years and as far as I can tell the town doesn't have a hockey rink much less any sort of men's league hockey around; so I'm looking further out. Does anyone have knowledge of what kind of offerings there is for men's leagues in either Eugene or Portland (preferably southern Portland in my case). Even if you just know a really good sheet of ice or sharpening somewhere in either town that would be helpful. Ideally I'm hoping to drive less than an hour each way but I'll take what I can get I suppose.
cxo 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2011 Sorry to hijack your old thread, but I figured it was redundant to start a new one.I'm looking for hockey shops in Portland. Anywhere in the city accessible by public transit, really. I have a feeling that pickup games are going to be scarce/virtually non-existent in this city. Half 2 Report post Posted January 9, 2012 There is http://www.winterhaw...tingcenter.com/ and http://www.sherwoodicearena.com in Beaverton and Sherwood. Both have a Northwest Skate Authorites shop in them. Great guys that work there, selection isn't always the best but more than willing to order whatever you need.Edit: As for pickup games there are Tues, Wed, Thurs at Mt. View in Vancouver and Wed, Thurs, Fri at Valley (Winterhawks Skating Center)
hunt3rsean 44 Report post Posted March 14, 2012 There are also pick-up games at the Sherwood Ice Arena in Sherwood, OR on Thursdays. They start at 11:15pm. But the Winterhawks Skating Center has way better ice.
