Ol' Faithful engineered in Minneapolis

This is in South Minneapolis on I-35W and the 38th street bridge. 3 or 4 storm drains converge at this point - governmental engineering at its very best.

The drain cover weighs 875 lb. Local residents say it is like Ol' Faithful when it rains (approx every 2-3 minutes). They have since bolted the lid in place - it has broken the bolts several times since.

Love the idiot who got out of his car to take pictures of the damage then it erupts on him again and instead of getting in his car...he runs away while it rains down on him.

Wow never heard of that, and I've lived a few miles from there most of my life. Wonder if they fixed it now that they've completely overhauled that highway and the surrounding areas.
