Which do you play...ice, inline, or both

LOL :D I wish I had a video of the first inline race I ran (at the then tender age of 47 against a gang of 16 - 21 year olds)..I finished second by a hair, and casually at full stride snapped into an ice hockey stop on the outside edge of my trailing foot to show those young whipper snappers how easy this inline stuff was for a well practiced ice hockey type.....after I completed the full somersault, the words "toe pick" floated around me among the gails of laughter.....

In this area the number of "dual" players is about 20% of the total number of players.  Some who do play both only do so very informally.

When you say "20%" I assume you are referring to those "dual players" who play "serious inline" as opposed to the indicated total of 33% which include some who play only casual pick up hockey.

No, I would say the 20% includes the inline pickup players. I'm basing that on the teams I have coached and the friends I know who coach. A lot of kids don't bother playing if it isn't ice. No street hockey or pickup inline.

I played both concurrently for a while and I found that my ice game suffered when I did that. I have gone back to ice exclusively.

I play Inline and Ball hockey(organized competitive Tier 2) I'm enjoying ball hockey alot more than Inline.
