What model pants? (CCM Supra)

Recommended Posts

I had those as well, I really didnt like anything else either til I found a pair of modified RBK pants that were sold as 'NCAA prostock' From what I could tell they were a 10k model with even more padding added, they're tanks, just like those Supras were.

If you cant find the pair you want, consider trying those RBKs

Thanks for the input. I agree that they appear to be Supra 420s after comparing with Ebay pictures. Can someone else confirm or rebut this?

Also, having looked through pictures of pants on all the major hockey websites, I find that the Reebok 7K 2010 Model pants appear VERY similar. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I had 520 years ago that were fantastic. It was so disappointing when they changed styles on their retail pants.

I wore 520's for along time and finally replaced them at Christmas. I got RBK 5K's. The are pretty similar, not to stiff from the start, have zippered legs and are better padded.

I have the 2009 RBK 7k pants and they are solid. The 7k's replaced a pair of CCM pro tacks, so far no complaints, very protective and yet very mobile. Took a little getting used to due the adjustible thigh pads but once you get that figured out they are great pants and very comfortable.

Not sure what if any difference the 2010's would offer.

I believe the 2010 7k pants are all one piece, without the adjustable thigh pads, so back to a more traditional pant. I have the 2009 pants and they have the adjustable thigh pads.

The pro CCM/RBK 520 has a different liner but is close to the Supras but beefed up a little. The 520 starts out really stiff. I'd actually say that the Bauer 5000 pant is going to be closer to the Supras, because they're very broken in and the Bauer's are less "beefy." The problem with the Bauer's is the belly pad doesn't lace up with the eyelets on the pant, it kind of just hangs there. I solved that problem with a nylon dog leash cut to about 6" and a sewing awl. ...just some info, if you must settle.

Otherwise, eBay, craigslist, play it again sports, LHSs with old inventory or maybe even goodwill might have some Supras for you but good luck. I normally see one pair of Supras every time I go to a PIAS but the condition is normally bad and the sizes are normally S or M.
