TPS Morrow Curve

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of any other brand/company who has a curve which is similar to the Morrow curve? I am not looking for the curves that look like the Lidstrom pattern. I had the original Louisville Response C8 one-piece and with the Morrow pattern. I loved that curve but have since been unable to find one similar to that. If anyone knows of a pattern similar to that please post. I know some of you will say check the Pattern DB on here but I already did that and no luck.

If you like the Morrow and you don't like the Lidstrom, I think you're out of luck.

It's such a subtle difference between the two, and since basically every brand has the Lidstrom in their retail inventory...

You might still be able to get them from TPS, Morrow is P10 and the Lidstrom is P55. They do make the P10, although maybe not for normal retail.

Thanks guys. There was a pretty big diff between Morrow and Lidstrom, much less of a curve on the Morrow. The Morrow I had was Norrow similar to the Ovechkin pattern but straighter/less curve and not as open.

That's what I thought too.

You might want to try Spezza maybe?

The blade profile is totally different but I recall it was a rather straight heel curve with some openness.

You sure it isn't a Morrow pro stock?

Yeah, they did that with my Modano pattern too. Oh well.

As for your Morrow curve dilemma, it almost looks like a Drury, based on that ebay link. I'm not well versed in TPS curves, so take that with a grain of salt.

Yeah, it's basically like the Drury with a square toe.

I also remember RBK had a curve called Pronger 4~5 years back, it was a straight square-toe blade that was like nastily bent at the heel and twisted open.

Not that that would help you...

If you don't like the Spezza I think Dru/OV is the best bet.

Nope, not even close to the Drury. The Morrow was similar to the Lidstrom but with far less of a curve in it. Drury is more of a straight blade with an open face. Man I should have picked up the one I saw a few months ago. It was the 1st Louisville Response sticks. I loved it but the only thing about it is that it cracked down the middle. I have had a few other one-pieces and non have done that. I am sure they have fixed that now but I wish they would bring back that curve.

Ovy is the closest thing I can find to that particular Morrow curve. The thing I liked about the Morrow blade was that it was big and had a square toe. I play D so I like the square toe and big blade especially when the puck comes around the boards.

That's exactly why the Lidstrom/Getzlaf was made for retail the way it is.

Yeah, the problem for me with the Lidstrom type curve is that I shoot too high with it. I wouldn't mind it if it had less of a curve but it's just way too much for my liking. I was just trying to find out from anybody on this site if they knew of a potential match. Anyway it doesn't seem like there is so I may end up goin with the Ovy curve. I may give the Lidstrom another shot but I may just get a tapered blade and put it into a broken one-piece I have.
