CCM U+ pro vs. Fit09 pants

Recommended Posts

Anyone seen both of these models yet? My LHS has the Pros, but does not carry the 09 model. I like the tailbone and coverage butt protection the Pro has (I seem to take a lot of impacts there), but the rest of the padding in the pants is overkill for me (the thigh pads are massive).

I would like to compare them to the 09 and see if the 09 has similar coverage over the tailbone and butt. The descriptions sound the same, but that doesnt mean its the same coverage necessarily.

So has anyone seen both of these and can comment on them? Does the 09 have similar but coverage but with a little lighter design overall?

Any help is appreciated.

I'm wearing the 09s and like them. It took me a little bit to get used to all of the extra padding in the tailbone area but I find the mobility and protection to be good.

Have you seen the Pro? How does the amount of padding, especially in the tailbone area compare to the Pro?

It seems the main difference listed in catalog is the material they're made out of, which I dont really care about, if the 09 has similar amounts of padding as the pro, I'd like to save a few bucks and go for the 09s.

The 09's are still a decent hockey pant and just a step down from the Pro's. They offer excellent all around and tailbone protection and are a good buy. Fit is the same as the Pro. I wouldn't have any reservations about getting the 09's and would use them at any level of hockey.

U+ seems really bulky, don't like the lacing system too much (coming from Tacklas) fits large. Seems to have some pretty decent padding.
