ouhockeyplayer 1 Report post Posted August 3, 2010 I am interested in picking up a pair of Reebok pro stock pants and have a question about sizing. I am currently a 34 waiste and it looks like the medium fits up to a 34 and a large starts at a 34 waiste and fits up to a 36. I am about 5' 11" tall and 200 lbs. I am currently skating in a pair of pro stock Eastons that are a size 48 which I believe is equivalent to a medium. However, I think the Easton pro pants fit a little bit larger than listed. What would you recommend, the large or medium in the Reeboks?
uclahockey707 1 Report post Posted August 3, 2010 Pro Stock Reebok medium pants fit bigger than retail for sure, my friends and I wear Reebok pro stock pants size medium and our waist size is 31-32, I think with a 34 waist I would probably go with a large but that's just me and I don't like tight fit around the waist. To sum up, the medium is comfortable (not baggy in any way) on a 31-32 waist, with a 34 I would recommend moving up to a large, but that's just my opinion. johnpace2 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2010 I'm 6'0 and 185 pounds with a 34 waist and the Pro Stock RBK 520 series pants in M fit me perfectly. I do also have a pair of large and they are basically too big, but I could wear them in a pinch. The mediums fit great and are snug and don't hang down. uclahockey707 1 Report post Posted August 3, 2010 I guess I wear mine baggy then, my bad, didn't mean to lead you astray. If this helps to gain perspective, I'm 5'11" 185lbs and have a 31 waist and fit comfortably in the mediums, my other pair of pants are bauer retails and they are also mediums. The MHP 520's started off as CCM pants back in the day. There certainly make other models and they probably fit differently...You fit in a L with a 31 waist? That seems impossible to me... I have to tie the strings as tight as possible and pull the belt pretty snugly to get them to stay up and I have a 34 waist.
ouhockeyplayer 1 Report post Posted August 4, 2010 Thank you for the responses. The pants I am looking at are the HP 620 model. I emailed the store (Sauce Hockey) that is selling them and they recommended I try the large. The guy said he was the same weight/similiar size as I am and he skates in a large. I'm leaning towards the large but would hate to get them and have them be to big.

ouhockeyplayer 1 Report post Posted August 4, 2010 No they are player pants. They are the newest Reebok pro model that is out right now (Reebok written out on the leg). Maybe he has a typo in his listing. I am not fully aware of the Reebok model numbers.

I am not fully aware of the Reebok model numbers.620 is the model for the goalie pants.520 is the model for the player pants with the single piece thigh. The rare split thigh Reebok pant is the 7000... then there is the 9K which is just as rare.
ouhockeyplayer 1 Report post Posted August 4, 2010 I can't figure out how to post pictures to this forum but here is a link to the pants. Can anyone tell me what model they are?http://cgi.ebay.com/Pro-Stock-Return-New-Reebok-NHL-Hockey-Hockey-Pants-/290457721940?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43a0a11c54
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted August 4, 2010 Those look like 520s with a ridiculous belt guard on them. The 620 is a goalie pant though, it's either a typo and a weird-ass belt guard or it's the weirdest pair of goalie pants I've ever seen.

clthockey22 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2010 I would go med. I have the new reebok pro pants (520). They run pretty big. I'm about the same build as you and was thinking I would need a large. They were way too big. I have about a 34-35 inch wast
ouhockeyplayer 1 Report post Posted August 11, 2010 So I finally received the pants and they are labeled on the inside of the pants as a 620 model. However, there is no way these are goalie pants. The extra belt padding is a little strange and there seems to be some extra padding in other places that my Easton's did not. It's hard to say if the extra padding is custom or not as I have never owned Reebok pants before. I have been going back and forth on the sizing of these pants and debating whether or not I should have got the mediums. The thigh pads are +1 (the seller sent me this model by mistake), but the length seems identical to my Eastons. I assume the plus one in these pants just refer to the thigh pad itself and not the overall length. It takes a tug to get the pants over my hips and rear end and once I tighten the belt and laces all the way the upper hip pads come together in the front (This is correct right?). The length ends up coming down to the middle of my knee (This is correct right or personal prefference?). When moving around the pants don't feel like they shift much at all (maybe slide down a tad but not close to falling off. I'm thinking once they break in the bilky feeling I get with them will probably go away. Also my Eastons were European cut so these pants should feel different and bigger (I think). I am thinking about getting suspenders for these pants for added comfort. Would any pair of suspenders from a local shop fit these pants? Overall they are a pretty cool looking pant and I have always wanted a pair of reebok pro stocks. My ultimate pair would be a pair of Reebok Red Wings pants but those are extrmely hard to come by brand new.
Shayno 1 Report post Posted August 11, 2010 I don't see any suspender buttons in pic.....do they have? Sweet pants by the way!

After the season ended ebay was flooded with pro stock pants and gear, but they were selling for a ton.
ouhockeyplayer 1 Report post Posted August 11, 2010 Thank you. I believe the buttons are under the belt gaurd. I'm not looking at them now but couldn't you use the buttons that connect the lower portion of the pants to the uppers? I have been checking ebay quite a bit for new wings pants but have had no luck. I went to the wings sale this wear and they only had used pants that were in really bad shape.

ouhockeyplayer 1 Report post Posted August 11, 2010 Thank you. I couldnt bring myself to pay $175 for pants that had enough holes and tears in them to not even warrant them usable.

acollette49 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2010 somewhat related...i just got a pair of reebok ncaa returns. the tag is marked "b501sr hpncaa". anyone know if they would correspond to the ccm 501s?
ouhockeyplayer 1 Report post Posted August 17, 2010 Thanks for keeping an eye out for those. Is the Easton 52 an XL or a L? The Reebok Larges are big, I can only imagine how an XL would fit. Amazing though that they are brand new.
