Will the EQ50 stick have better durability than the SE16 it's replacing?

Recommended Posts

I've read a lot about the EQ50 which will be replacing the SE16 line. I was wondering if they have addressed some of the durability issues that the SE16 is reported to have had. Has anyone heard/seen anything?

They're not even hardly out yet. Give it another month and they should be hitting retail stores and into peoples' hands. To my knowledge, only a few early testers have seen them and even then, it hasn't been long at all.

Question about the SE 16. Was the weight on the toe of the blade or the heal?

There is a video and he mentions that the weight of the EQ50 is in the heel of the stick and not in the toe. Did the SE16 have the weight in the toe or was he just saying?

Was always in the heel

Last question for the SE16.

Is there a difference between Dual I-Beam blade(SE16) and the Multi-Rib blade(EQ50) or is it just a change in marketing terms? I couldn't find any info on the "Dual I-Beam blade" used in the SE16 in terms of construction.

Not sure if EQ50 has 2 or 3 beams.

There's isn't much on durability because the stick isn't out yet. Like hyprlte said in his review, he was skating with NHLers who hadn't even seen it yet.
