Yeah, I know. Apparently there was ONE report of him being dead and the media (of which I am a member) pounced all over it and raced to break the story. The downside to online news. Bullshit spreads just as fast as the truth.

I think the Habs, Leafs and Bruins should at the very least have a helmet "PB" sticker or something. He won a cup with NJ...I'd like to see them have something on their jersey. A Stanley Cup silouette with PB or something.

IMO (which doesn't amount to much), the best piece he's ever written!

The obvious admiration he has for Burns and just the down to earth storytelling of that piece, I will not lie...I teared up a little reading it...I can only imagine how hard it must have been to write.

That was FUCKING excellent! Bob Mc laid it on the line and didn't miss a beat. Pat Burns can tell HHOF to jump in Lake Erie. Screw them. If HHOF doesn't want Pat Burns in now, he doesn't need them ever. Never did.

I recall meeting rookie Habs D-man Eric Desjardin when Burns was his coach. Eric was under strict orders: get the puck to the red line and dump it to the goal line. Now I know why. Burns played the game for his players to play safe and smart. Take away the percentages and we win. How smart is that? Obviously, too smart for the HHOF!!
