patricklanglois 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2010 I have some new total ones that I baked when I got them. I've only played about 7 hours so far on them but I feel like they could be tighter on my feet to provide that lack of dead space I thought I'd get. Should I re-bake them? Is my foot too narrow for the boot? They are still comfortable and a good fit I just wish the boot formed to my foot a bit more. Thanks for your advice

Even with baking them you still need more time on them I would think. Also have you tried changing how you tighten your laces? I used to leave mine very loose around the bottom of my foot and lately I noticed how much of a gap I left down there and how it affected my skating by doing so and changed it up. I'd say only if it's too big in the heel area then rebaking, really kicking the heel back & also molding the boot around your feet by applying finger pressure (the boot is quite soft after baking) could help. I baked once, then skated for 15 the next day and my heel was all over the place. Baked a second time and really pressed around my achilles and my mid and fore foot. They feel perfect

The heel actually feels good, I just feel like there is dead space between the top of my foot and the boot. I'll give them more skating hours I guess. The fit feels better than any other skate I've had, I just was under the impression that my foot would feel snug throughout the whole boot.
ironslave 2 Report post Posted November 4, 2010 use a stiffer tongue insert maybe? (if you're not on Xstiff already).
