Johan Santana 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2010 I just bought a pair of Easton S15 on ebay for $140, I was wondering if I got ripped off on this? I really don't know much about skates at all. They are floors show-models that don't come with a box. Brand new these skates are like a few hundred more...is there something fishy here? Thanks guys! AIREAYE 248 Report post Posted December 4, 2010 The S15's in general tended to have durability issues if you're a competitive player, but if you play recreational, then they're fine if they fit your feet. I have a pair, and they're the lightest skates out there, perfect fit for my narrow ankles and wider forefoot. The only issue I have is with the toecaps. They're not very protective...I prefer rubber toecaps instead
Krev 86 Report post Posted December 4, 2010 S15's are also an older model, not surprised you got them for that cheap. If they fit your feet well, you got a steal of a deal.

Great skate for $400.00 butif you got them for $140 and they fit you got a steal. Know that they do need to be taken care of, not just thrown in a bag and left to rot until the next time you play. I am a recreational player so i shouldn't tear them up that bad
