Custom Sticks

Does anyone know which manufacturers will make custom sticks for you. I am not talking about MyBauer type of deal but something pro stock like. What are the ordering procedures, upcharges, minimum orders and custom options.

From what I have seen/done

- Combat will do custom sticks I believe (speculation based on the fact that they custom do my blades). Just email them and they will help you I am sure. If you do a custom pattern you will be on the minimum order for 12 (again, minimum for my blades on the first run), which I bet they will charge somewhere around $350 or $400 for a one time mold fee (if they still do it for the public).

-I have seen Reebok/CCM customs before on here (buzzlightbeer), he might be able to provide you with some more info.

-Base has what looks to be a semi custom program going.

In all, if you want some customs sticks done up, get in touch with a LHS, and ask them to contact your rep for your area (or, if you are in a nontraditional market, I would email a large chain shop that seems to have SMU done for them, and ask them about custom sticks, I did that and it worked for me). I would just start calling and emailing away, and see who will get you what you want. Custom sticks with a custom curve will run you $$$.

I've been bouncing emails back and forth with Base and right now their custom options include curve (half dozen pretty standard curves, and one 'hossa pro' mid-toe open curve) Flex, Color, lie and finish (sharkskin, grip, clear, matte). They'll also put a name and a number or logo on there. So it's very similar to MyBauer's x60 program.

I was told by their rep that sometime next year they'll also be doing custom shaft dimensions (straight, con, vex, and maybe even a vex-con). That being the case I'd wait until they do offer that option.

Christian will make custom woodys/wooden blades with a minimum order of 3 for $40 each(blade).

im just talking ops. I have had a base and that really isnt a true custom. Honestly the only thing special they offer is blade finish and name/logo.
