beerleaguecaptain 1002 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 I have searched the earth for a low profile shoulder pad I like to no avail. I've tried them all: Farrells, Easton, Bauer, etc..I saw a set on TV last night by Itech and I was wondering is anyone know them... Remember the scene in Mighty Ducks 3 where Portman does the strip tease? He has on a set of ITech pads that look great. Low profile, lots of stretch material.Anyone seen these and know what they are? x-axis 44 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 I foresaw this post coming after it was on yesterday. Not necessarily about Portman's pads, but definitely Mighty Ducks related. lol.A little reminder here: I see these a lot at second hand sporting goods stores. May be not the exact model but that style.

IniNew 53 Report post Posted January 7, 2011 At what point do shoulder pads become negligible in protection for the sake of mobility? That small sliver of foam across you chest isn't going to do much for a shot hitting you there. If it wasn't for the hard caps, it seems as if it's a waste. Really low profile shoulders and good mobility.I'm considering the Down Low pads that are being talked about on another thread. Either that or loose 35 pounds.... fsuhockeystar97 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2011 They look just like the old CCM SP90 and Bauer and Cooper had pairs similar too. The Bauers were red and black and the Coopers were grey and blue. I had both the CCMs and the Bauers at one point, but I think my parents threw them out when they moved. Both had decent protection, I used them for drop-in when I played in the ACHA so I never took a hit or anything with them. There was a guy on my college team that used the Coopers for games and everything and he never got hurt so I have to assume they do their job.
shoeshine boy 249 Report post Posted January 8, 2011 here you go:front:back:shoulder cap:I like how the shoulder cap is more square than rectangular or oval. you can also see how well ventilated they are.

shoeshine boy 249 Report post Posted January 9, 2011 I had a pair of those before I found the 250's. I didn't like how the shoulder cap and bicep pad were one piece.
