What's your preference on stick length?

Hey guys, first of all sorry if something like this has already been posted. I couldn't find anything really like it so that's why i'm posting it. So i'm just curious about what length of hockey stick you like to use. I've always been using something in between my chin and noise height, but i'm wondering what lengths you guys prefer and why. I'm a forward, so maybe it'd be shorter than a defensemens but I came across a Crosby picture today to realize how short his stick is.

Bottom lip on skates is the shortest I like it. I can use a slightly longer one, but at my nose is the longest I go

That's what I was thinking, but it still would be a bit lower than his chin.

It depends on the lie of the blade I'm using. If I'm using a lower lie (around 5), I like them to my nose when I'm on skates. I'll shorten the stick a little bit if it's a 5.5. I don't really use an sticks that are a true 6 lie.

It depends on your skating style too. Plus, I've always liked a longer stick.

Maybe, but Crosby is known for a shorter stick. Also, check out his lie, I've read it's like a 3 before somewhere.

I like my sticks right at my bottom lip on shoes. Used to like it wicked short around a little above my adams apple on shoes. I'm more of a stickhandler, but this year I looked to improve my shot (longer stick, more power). It's definitely helped.

I don't even know how long my sticks are...I usually leave them as I buy them, except Eastons. Have to cut them just a bit.

I would like to experiment with some shorter sticks for stickhandling.

Goodness, that was a very interesting video. For me, I used to think that since I'm a D-man "Longer is better"(I'll be disappointed if someone makes a reference). But frankly, I'm pretty darn wrong. Now I don't typically add extensions. And to actually answer the question, my stick's(Base) are cut down to the height of Bauer sticks. I guess I used them for so long, I've grown accustomed to them. So they're up to my eyebrows in socks. Dunno what that'd compare to for other people, seems just right for me to do whatever I need.

I love the last part of that video. If you listen to that video that kid would end up with a stick cut to the middle of his chest.
