ponder 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2011 haha yeah i bought some s19 shoulder pads and did this to them i have the front piece i took the back, i haven't felt a cross check yet in matter of fact nothing this works amazing! You actually ruined a pair of S19 shouldies just for that little piece? Unless you're a pro getting these things for free it seems like a complete waste of top of the line gear, you could have found a similar piece on shoulder pads that are like 1/3 the price. ironslave 2 Report post Posted February 3, 2011 Lacrosse kidney/rib pads are not heavy whatsoever, wear them under your shoulder pads and you won't notice anything. Plus, you don't have to mangle any equipment.

larrivee 3 Report post Posted February 11, 2011 Tackla also makes a nice big lower back protector. Dominic Moore of the lightning has one stitched into his pants. It's more rectangular and gets some wrap.
