Any difference in shooting between X60, TotalOne

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering if anybody noticed a shot difference between the X60 and the TotalOne. Guess I'm asking anyone who has used both sticks.

Do you notice that your shot comes off faster, harder, etc. off one stick or do you find it is about the same. I already know all the technology behind each stick, so please don't review that, would like some feedback from people who have used them, thanks.

The biggest difference for me besides the mid kick vs. low kick point is the shaft geometry. I have big hands and I feel I am holding a piece of rope that is too small to get a good grip on when holding the x60. The total one is boxy and fits the palm of my hand very well.

i'll second the feel of the stick from a geometric perspective. The X60 was just a little too rounded for me to the point where i added more tape to my butt end and end of the shaft area compared to other sticks i've used.

i'll also add....

- the balance of the total one stick feels a hair better than the x60.

- release of shots off the blade are a little quicker

- what i notice MOST in the total one compared to the x60 is in making and receiving passes. i teamate of mine and i both agree- blade/shaft are more responsive in making pass, while you get a better feel for receiving passes.

I agree with everything stated here as well. Shots come off like a rocket. I scored with a wrist shot top corner on olympic ice from the opposite goal line with my total one, woud not be able to do this with any of my other sticks.

Lol! An olympic ice is the same lenght as a normal one... It's only wider. But thanks for that precision!

Just about every rink I have skated on has not been truly NHL size. A lot of the time they will shorten it. So for me it was longer. I know the NHL sized rink is the same length. 200x85 vs oly 200x100. I had been told that for junior and college level they can be between 185 feet and 200 feet long. Our rink is slightly shorter.

Thanks for the correction. My point was the stick kicks a lot harder.

I am not trying to brag but I do not have a radar gun so this is the only way to explain how much harder it kicks. My friends and I usually do this when we have the ice to ourselves. It is just that it happened in a game when they pulled their goalie.
