EASTON SE16 VS BAUER TOTAL ONE STICK

Recommended Posts

Welcome to MSH. We have a search tool on the forum that allows you to search virtually any topic regarding hockey. We have lengthy topics related to each stick on here, and when it comes down to which stick is better, it's all personal preference. For instance, while someone might think the SE16 is a better stick, I don't. I like the TotalONE.

i have both sticks and i can say both sticks are very very good. But it's is really up to your preference, with my easton i have more accuracy wristers feel is not that much difference

With tota lone you have great shoots if wristers, snaps, slaps but you need a good technique to really load up the stick, espeacially for wrister and is the best looking stick i have ever seen.

Durability isn't the best on both sticks.

I couldn't get used to the T1 and wound up selling it. Shaft shape was too boxy for me, although I know some guys like that. SE16 was lighter, and was also better balanced IMHO. Blade feel was better for me as well. SE16 is the stick I always wind up going back to when I try other sticks, and I've tried many: T1, X60, S19, AK27 Kopitar Pro Stock and Dolo shaft with SE16 blade.

I've also commented in another topic that I'm so used to the Zetterberg pattern that any deviation is noticeble to me. The PM9/Stamkos Bauers seem a tad bit off to me. I know the heel seems more squarish where the Z-berg is more rounded. I feel like I have better control when the puck is closer to my body. All personal preference though I'm sure.

I will say I got better slapshots with the T1. I did feel like my shots hit with more force whereas shots with the SE16 were quicker and more snappy. Also to take into consideration is that when I cut the T1, it was roughly a 90flex. The SE16 cut was around and 80ish. That probably had something to do shot power.

If you look at sticks more like golf clubs we can have a conversation on what stick is better for what. The only reason I say this is that sticks like the SE16 and the EQ50 seem to be so specialized. But your right, most sticks are the same for the most part.
