easton hockey stick blade wear

I have an easton st hockey stick and the heel of the blade is wearing out pretty bad. I am wondering if that is normal for easton sticks? It also happens on the se16 too.

Yep. Eastons are notoroius for blade wear and delamination. Particularly at the toe.

You may be using the wrong lie which would cause wear at the heel.

My ST (it's a 2009, the blue and silver one) has the most durable blade I've ever used. As sharks25 said, maybe you have the wrong lie/stick length? Also, do you tape over the heel with a good thick tape? NHL players may start their tape jobs mid blade, but they don't have to pay for sticks, if you want your blade to last, tape the whole blade, including the heel.

Do you occasionally bang your stick on the ice? This can cause the heel to break, happened to me a couple times, bad habit.
