LS2.1 Power stainless steel runner

Recommended Posts

I was curious if more people are using this runner and if they notice a differance in performance. Good or bad.

(Couldnt find a thread on this in the search)

I noticed an immediate change in the way I skated when I first switched to 2.1, mostly while turning. It felt like you could get a lot lower and really stay on the rails of the turn. Never really noticed any negatives after switching though, I guess it mostly depends on the person. I for one liked the extra blade.

I went to two shops a couple weeks ago and both were sold out of LS2.1 in my size, but that can be taken two different ways. I personally like the 2.1 better, but as a defensemen the longer rocker just seems more stable. I thought the shorter length of the LS2 would make turns theoretically easier?

I thought it was terrible. I couldn't get used to all the steel up front and behind, I would always catch the toe and heel and fall because they dug into the ice. Was especially bad on fast transitions. In stride it was more or less the same.

So I'm to assume that the new fusion steel is the same length as the LS2 stainless steel on the X60.

I personaly like the 2.1 steel. I did have to adjust to it at first but it only took me about 1-2 hours to do so. I was just curious if this was something that would go away or build a following.
