zebra_steve 11 Report post Posted March 2, 2011 Great, now I just have to find one with a 5 lieI tried one at a seminar this past fall... just tossing pucks down ice from the end zone spot to simulate icing.... I was lucky to hit the far end boards! I had to aim at the right corner to get the puck to go between the net and the left dot..... couldn't hit an open net with it - and I tried! sickwilly 37 Report post Posted March 2, 2011 If you're a left shot, hockeyworld.com still has some of the Montreal CMC blades available for 20 bucks each. I think that they are the ones used in the Montreal Nitro 8500 OPS (not 100%, but they looked/felt the same to me). They also have some older model AK27 shafts you could pair them with for a pretty durable combo for about 100 bucks (I've had great luck with the AK's durability). I've also gotten outstanding durability out of the CMX blades they have. I prefer the feel/balance of those with a lighter shaft to the CMC. I don't think that you'd get quite the same level of performance as a high level OPS, but with some luck, I think that setup should last a while.
epstud74 24 Report post Posted March 2, 2011 There's a big difference IMO in the endurance of the Easton ST sticks compared to the S19/S17/S15 typesI think the Bauer Supremes would have been considered more durable for me compared to the Vapor series.
