Headband to control sweating

Recommended Posts

Any guy on my team that saw me do that would immediately kick my ass.

Yeah, you'd probably get some ribbing, but who cares.. you're sweat free. You can probably turn it around on everyone else and buy them all a bag.

A guy I play with does the maxi pad thing.... He swears by it, but I would never do that. I don't have any problems with sweat in my eyes with my 9900.

I would don’t think I could put a maxi pad on my forehead so I bought a UA skull cap and tried it last weekend. It kept all the sweat off my face so no sweat dripping into my eye and I wouldn’t be embarrassed to own it.

Picked up a couple of Halo headbands and tried it out last night. Worked great. They hold a crazy amount of sweat. I went with it over the skull cap because I thought it would have the smallest effect on the fit of my already stretched to the max helmet.

Going to try out the headband for the first time tonight...kinda concerned about it fitting comfortably with my helmet.. I may need to go the skull cap route..

Maxi pad?? too funny..

Girlfriend made me one, costs almost nothing and took very little time to put together. Adhesive backed Velcro on the helmet, and regular Velcro sewn on piece of cloth. Works really well.

Very right picture.

I use something called SwetGard can be found here offical warehouse

I had tried the skull cap, the head bands didn't fit under my helmet as i couldn't get it large enough

How thick are those? The Halo headband is super thin and minimally affects the fit of my helmet.

I picked up a UA skull cap this weekend..$16 was pretty steep but if it fits under my helmet and keeps the sweat off my face it will be worth it...

I picked up a skull cap too and thought it was too much money but i used it 3 times and i can say it was so worth the money. I had to adjust my helmet slightly larger but i no longer have any sweat on my face and its great.

I used these for years until they got too skanky. they aren't thick at all. I would've kept using them but at the time I got new helmets I couldn't find them anywhere so I made my own with some velcro and a sweatband bought at a Play It Again Sports. one of my helmets has it and the other one doesn't. can't decide which fit I like best.

You guys ever wring out your headband mid game? It's kinda sick seeing all the built up sweat really. I Usually have to and then I put some water on it. I Can't believe I sweat that much honestly.

I use to use a bandana & then switch to a skull cap & loved the results for both. I recommend the skull cap. I had a UA one & lost it & then purchased a Nike one. I liked the UA one better.

And I would never stick a maxipad in my helmet.
