ZombieAttack27 1 Report post Posted April 24, 2011 I was on hockey monkey earlier today looking for spring league jerseys, and saw that they sell "Reebok Edge Gamewear" jerseys for like 40 dollars a piece (or less if you order in bulk). They are far too expensive based on the league we're playing in, but then I had a thought. If authentic edge jerseys from NHL.com are like upwards of two hundred dollars, and these are like forty dollars, couldn't I just get an edge gamewear and a name/number kit from coolhockey.com?Surely, it would be better than the replica jerseys they sell in my LHS right? Perhaps even close to authentic edge quality
raganblink 82 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 They're missing a lot besides numbers logo etc. If you don't care about how accurate it looks aswell as can sew to save money it be worth it.
Thepandamancan 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 They're on par with the replica jerseys actually even down to the sizing. The true replica jerseys might be built just a little better, but I'd never play in them since they run very hot. The edge gamewear jerseys are lighter and thinner compared to the replica and authentics.I just did this actually...I got an uncrested Kings jersey (in this case AK) and brought it down to the team store to get the actual team lettering on it. Looks great and if I ever got an NHL logo for the neck and the crest for the chest, it would fool most people.
xrickyb86x 1 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 Our team just purchased a new set of AK jerseys in the Sens alternate colors. We originally wanted to get the SENS logo stitched right in to match the NHL jerseys without paying the price for the real thing but we couldn't find a jersey company that would be willing to stitch the logo in (NHL copyright). We ended up making our own logo anyway and it came out really cool.
