Foot Pain in 1 foot with new skates?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I just picked up a pair of x60s for a great deal online, and I assumed I needed a EE since I have a wide foot. So I received them yesterday, and The left foot fits like a glove! but my right foot is in pain without even skating yet! Is this something that can be fixed with a bake, or broken in? or am I doomed because I have 2 different sized feet? here is a pic of where my pain is...Exactly where the yellow arrow is pointing. Please help!

you just need to get that punched out. that's a pretty common pressure point and i've punched out that exact spot on my right foot too.

Can you punch out a spot in a x60? The guy who sharpened them said u can't on this model. How much, and can any hockey shop usually do this procedure?

I have X:60's and I have the same issue you do. I have had my skate baked and punched out. It has worked out great! The last couple skates, there has been no pain at all. the pain I experienced was not as harsh as you have described. I did however, aggravate the nerve that runs along the outside of my foot causing discomfort in my running shoes even. Your LHS should be able to punch out that area without any problems. One of the issues that caused my pain was over tightening the lower section of my skate. Now, I just snug that area up. Good Luck.

Baked puched then baked again. That is what I had to do to stop the pain in my right skate. Good luck.
