Finding Width on Graf Skates

Recommended Posts

I recently acquired a few pairs of Graf skates and I think I already know the answer but I figured Id ask anyway. Is there any markings anywhere on a Graf custom skate indicating the width?? I know the size is marked on the bottom of the boot but I cant find the width anywhere. And ofcourse the #1 question I get with all the custom Graf skates I sell is, what is the width??

Typically Graf puts a sticker on the sole of the boot, a circular white or red sticker with a "W" marking.

Maybe some one can confirm, but i was once told that the only difference between a Graf regular and wide is a larger toe cap...?

Yes, typically Graf puts a "W" or an "N" sticker on the bottom of the outsole to indicate Wide/Narrow skates. Regular width skates are not marked to indicate width on the outsole. If you remove the footbed you may see "N", "R", "W" or "W+" printed on the footbed, likely on the heel?

I believe Graf Wide, Wide Plus and Narrow skates change in width throughout the entire length of the boot, not just in the toe cap.
