Old Sticks

I found some old sticks in my house from a while back that still have black and white tape on them.

The tape has gotten frail and when taking it off leaves a crusty layer on the blade or handle.

I was wondering if anyone knows of anything that would cut through it and get it off without damaging the paint or the stick.

Heat the tape up with a heat gun for a little bit and it should peel right off.

If u havent tried anything yet goo gone works pretty good but be sure to use it outside cuz it smells awful

I've also had luck re-taping the stick, rubbinf the tape down with a puck, then removing the tape. It usually pulls off most of the old tape below.

thats actually what i did when i bought a stick and the white tape on it had turned to cement

Paint thinner and or similar polymers work well.

They do but they may be a little high powered for the job and may mess up other things. I would keep this as a last resort
