Backpack Recommendations

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

long story short, I'm pretty much car-less now because I got screwed over by insurance. I'll need to carry a backpack type bag to the rinks because I'll either be car pooling or taking transit. My rollerbag is just way too big to lug around.

Any recommendations on a portable equipment bag?

I have two backpacks:

A wheeled Rbk 7k and a Mission backpack.

Prefer the Mission backpack by far, the wheeled one weighs a ton even before I fit my kit in. The other thing I dont like about the wheeled Rbk bag is the skate pockets on the side. Ive had the bag around 5 months, and already there are holes appearing under both skate pockets from using the bag on it's wheels.

Sooo...for me the rbk bag was a bit...rubbish. Plenty room though, but possibly the most uncomfortable bag I own, with the added bonus that its already falling apart.

My mate has an Easton bag, seems really good (same as the one recommended above by another forum mbr)

My Mission has been solid for over a year now. The new Warriors look nice. I would go without wheels because they add a ton of weight to the backpack. Just keep in mind they don't have much space so you have to pack everything really tight. I usually put shins inside of pants and then helmet, gloves, elbows around the pants, then put rolled up jerseys and shoulders on top.
