Warrior's new shaft/stick height

Recommended Posts

Noticed all of the new shafts and stick are coming 3 inches longer, wondering how this going to affect the flex.

using the dolo in an 85 cutting 3 inches off, but if i went with a dynasty shaft i would be cutting 6 inches off.

Anyone have any experience with the new lengths?

Must be the "Chara Effect" lol, but it's more than often that players are adding extensions to their sticks and why not start off with a longer shaft and work down from there? Although I'm 5' 10" I prefer a longer stick when I play defence but as usual "different strokes for different folks"

Pretty sure they said their flexes are rated at the standard length so not the +3 length.

thats what i asked about, they seemed sure the whole stick was rated to full flex, there are no flex ratings on the back also. I was assuming they would do that though because it would make the most sense to the mass market.

This issue confuses me when considering the Warrior stick customizer program. Is it the Widow only that does not change flex within the top 3" of the stick? Someone said their Dolomite from that program came in at 63". Now I'm not a tall guy at all, but I use fairly standard length sticks/shafts. My sticks are around 57" from heel to butt end, maybe a hair longer. How much do I need to go down in flex to compensate for the fact that I'll be taking 6" off of a stick?

I ordered a dolo. It is 63 inches. I am telling you guys not asking, when I say that the flex ratings are measured at the 60 inch mark! SO buy your normal flex. My 95 flex at 63 inches was super whippy! Trust me when I say this. Plus if you look a couple pages back on the warrior stick customizer Missejeau shows a diagram explaining this exact topic. They are just adding 3 inches so us tall guys do not need to add a plug. So for those not grasping this. A 100 flex stick at 63 inches will play more like a 85 flex. Cut it to 60 inches and you have a 100 flex.

And I answered your question.

The reason why none of the mods or Miseaujeu has posted is that this question has been previously answered in the Customizer thread. Thanks skyscrape

The physics/mechanics of it makes a bit of sense to me as well, cutting off the end of a stick with an ultra-low/low kick like the Dolos or Widows would not change the flex point/feel as much as with a mid-kick stick due to the relationship between the position of your hands and the flex point iirc.
