Extending glove cuff?

Recommended Posts

I have seen many local and "mail order" cuff shortening services on the web. Are there any that people know of that advertise lengthening the cuff of the glove, or even closing the cuff so as to avoid having the wrist.forearm be as exposed?

Or are longer cuffs offered by many custom glove orders by the major manufacturers?

The new Reebok kinetic fit offer a longer wrist protection throughout the wrist and move very well with your wrists as well. I usually like a short cuff, especially on the inside of the wrist, but those kinetics are incredibly comfortable and move very well with the wrist. I'm not a fan of their aesthetics, but they sound right up your alley.

Yeah, I like the 7K's with the close cuff fit. Right now I have Easton S5's, but really like the fit of the Bauer 4-Roll, but would prefer a tighter (closer to the arm, less movement) longer cuff.

Old Nike Bauer XXXX 15'' gloves were 14''+1 gloves if i'm not mistaken, you might still be able to find them on eBay or something since that size isn't really popular

Why not get elbow pads with longer forearm protection? There is a reason you dont see super-long glove cuffs anymore.

This. I find longer elbow pads with shorter gloves allows increased mobility while still retaining good protection.

I like the feel of the gloves, but not the elbows. I find the longer/bulkier EP make me feel like my elbows are held rigid in a cocked out position.

For my level and style of play, mobility is not a major concern.
