Amiroo39 121 Report post Posted February 29, 2012 So last year right before the playoffs began Alex Burrows started using a baby blue warrior that was black at the bottom. I looked endlessly for this stick which I now know is the Warrior Widow Limited Edition. In January of 2012 i started seeing the baby blue and black blade in stores but I've compared the LE and the SE and although they are very similar the LE still has some distinction about it. I know the baby blue has the nipple grip and the red and grey is the matte non grip version. Also the SE has some extra lines and graphics that the LE (Burr's) doesn't have. I know I'm being extremely picky but does anyone know if the LE is the same blue as the SE? and does anyone have any idea on how i could get my hand on the LE?? I've been unlucky at some canucks equipment sales. Thanks a bunch
noodle3872 40 Report post Posted February 29, 2012 I've never heard of a Widow LE. I checked a number of major online hockey retailers and none of them have a Widow LE listed on their sites. I have heard of the Widow SE which has the brighter red or blue graphics and I found this stick for sale online. I think unless I'm mistaken, you're getting LE confused with SE or you've been misinformed about stick models. Thru a Google search I found Pro Stock Nation and a few FS ads called Burrows' a Widow LE when he first began using it but the correct name is Widow SE.Mike
cooperalls 4 Report post Posted February 29, 2012 I've never seen an "LE", only the SE. The regular Widows have mostly black graphics, with red accents on the matte/non-grip version, and navy blue accents on the grip version. The SE grip version is mostly light (baby) blue, the non-grip SE is mostly red. All are available at retail. If you've noticed specific differences on some baby blue Widow SE's, It's possible Burrows has custom graphics put on his, in which case getting something through the team or on ebay would be the best ways to get exactly what he's using. I haven't looked closely enough at what he's using to see if it's any different than the retail version.
Amiroo39 121 Report post Posted March 1, 2012 thanks guys much appreciated, my guess is that since burrows had it about a 10 months before it his stores, it could possibly have been the limited edition (LE) at the time, and now its in stores as the SE. the differences in the graphics is basically a couple of lines that come up from the black part of the blade/heel. Im such being picky..
