16" Gloves?

Recommended Posts

I browsed through the product catalogues and didn't see any listed, so I figured I would ask here on the off chance someone knows of a manufacturer that offers one.

Is anyone making a 16" glove this year?

I have absurdly long hands/forearms.

You could check 1981.

Seriously, The only ones I've seen have been pro. Someone on here had a pair of NYR Mission L7's on here like a year ago. When I visted a buddy that works for the Rangers over the summer there was a pair of Eastons with the old school long cuff. The pair was hanging above the skate sharpener so I asked if they were for Gretz or Messier. Oddly enough there were a sample made up at the request of the team to address the lack of hand/wrist protection in current gloves. Apparently it was not a popular option, as no one went with them.

Sadly, the 1981 reference isn't that far off.

I've been out of hockey since the '90s and am just getting back in to it. I remember 16" gloves being available back then, but they seem to have disappeared now. Same thing with elbow pad extensions...

I took a look at Warrior's customizer (very neat), but they don't seem to offer longer gloves there. 13", 14", and 15" seem to be the only options unless I'm missing something.

Thanks for the ebay link, fcb51...I'll message the sender and make sure they're truly 16" gloves.

Those look like 16's. 5 rolls and pretty long cuff on top of that. If you can find Malakov and or Chris Simon pro stocks I think those were both 16", and I at one time had a pair of Sande Max980's that were 15.5 or 16"s, so there are options out there, they are just hard to find. The good news is you are probably not competing with many people for them, so the cost shouldn't be too bad. Buzz's suggestion is also a good one.
