Reebok Edge Socks - Non NHL Teams?

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

Does anyone know where or if it's possible to find Reebok Edge Socks that aren't solid color or from an NHL team? In the past I think I looked for some AHL teams but had no luck.

Currently I'm trying to see if anyone has something similar to the material for a couple defunct teams, in this case the Hartford Whalers.

I had these guys, http://www.usahockeysocks.com/index.shtml, make me some "jersey knit" socks in custom colors that were very much like the Edge socks. Although they've actually held up considerable better than the Edge socks I've owned and I like they way they do the Velcro tabs a lot better than the retail Edge socks. I think it was a 6 pair minimum, or maybe that's just where the price/pair dropped to what I could handle - I don't recall now. But they were friendly and easy to deal with, and the product is top notch, so well worth a call.

Thanks for the replies, I'll look into them. I like the feeling of the edge socks since they stay real snug and since at least for me they last longer than my knit socks. For some reason my knit socks never seemed to last very long.

I could always go for Vancouver socks I suppose but they're missing the nice gray color for the old Hartford Navy jersey.

Mine were strange. Got some pro stock practice socks in black. Quickly got a big hole in one of the socks right where the knee cap and shin meets on the shin pads. Thought, "Great heres another useless product" but then haven't seen a rip sense. Don't mind it at all.

I could be totally wrong here, but, judging by the photo, that looks like the mesh venting on the back of a pair of grey practice socks. I don't think it's a striping pattern at all.

This is correct.

I've used them as well. They can be completely customized. My sons team used a one off sock that had 5 stripes of 3 different sizes and of 3 different colors on a white or black sock. Velcro on the front and back and they don't fit as loosely as the Edge style. Best to get your order in soon. They're in Minnesota and fall gets very busy. Good company to deal with, for totally customized and hand made product that is made in the USA the price is fair and customer service is a priority.

those gray socks are pro stock you cant buy them at a retail store your est bet is eBay or any hockey forum that has a classified section. if you looking for retail socks in nhl team colors you can get them at sites like ice warehouse.

I had actually been looking for the "practice" socks like I posted above.
