vtaenz 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2012 Hey there,Does anyone know where or if it's possible to find Reebok Edge Socks that aren't solid color or from an NHL team? In the past I think I looked for some AHL teams but had no luck.Currently I'm trying to see if anyone has something similar to the material for a couple defunct teams, in this case the Hartford Whalers. Davetronz 109 Report post Posted March 13, 2012 Do they have to be the Reebok's?There's a ton of Hartford knit socks everywhere I look. Practically falling off the shelves. LOL
rachael7 1 Report post Posted March 13, 2012 I had these guys, http://www.usahockeysocks.com/index.shtml, make me some "jersey knit" socks in custom colors that were very much like the Edge socks. Although they've actually held up considerable better than the Edge socks I've owned and I like they way they do the Velcro tabs a lot better than the retail Edge socks. I think it was a 6 pair minimum, or maybe that's just where the price/pair dropped to what I could handle - I don't recall now. But they were friendly and easy to deal with, and the product is top notch, so well worth a call.
vtaenz 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2012 Thanks for the replies, I'll look into them. I like the feeling of the edge socks since they stay real snug and since at least for me they last longer than my knit socks. For some reason my knit socks never seemed to last very long.I could always go for Vancouver socks I suppose but they're missing the nice gray color for the old Hartford Navy jersey. IniNew 53 Report post Posted March 13, 2012 Mine were strange. Got some pro stock practice socks in black. Quickly got a big hole in one of the socks right where the knee cap and shin meets on the shin pads. Thought, "Great heres another useless product" but then haven't seen a rip sense. Don't mind it at all.

Justin Liedloff 13 Report post Posted June 17, 2012 I could be totally wrong here, but, judging by the photo, that looks like the mesh venting on the back of a pair of grey practice socks. I don't think it's a striping pattern at all.
Monty22 835 Report post Posted June 17, 2012 Those are pro practice socks. Team sales or Ebay are your best bet. There are a ton on ebay right now.

My sons team used a one off sock that had 5 stripes of 3 different sizes and of 3 different colors on a white or black sock. Velcro on the front and back and they don't fit as loosely as the Edge style. Best to get your order in soon. They're in Minnesota and fall gets very busy. Good company to deal with, for totally customized and hand made product that is made in the USA the price is fair and customer service is a priority.
