Projekt Shins

Has anyone tried Warrior Projekt shins? I have the elbows and love them... and I'm looking for new shins now. Just hoping somebody has tried them and might have an opinion.

I found the Bauer Supreme shins I have to have really "pointy" knee caps, so if I fall or whatever, it's hard to gain control and get back up quickly. I pretty much have to stop sliding before I can even think about trying to get back up.

I have tried them, and if you are concerned about the shape of the kneecap, you might want to look away from the Projekts (at least on the models already released) as they have a similar shape imo. I also found that there is an extra section of denser foam at the bottom that extends past the plastic about 1/3 " which might play a factor in finding size.

Love the shins but I HATE that foam at the bottom. Whether you flop your tongues out or tuck them in those stpid flaps are annoying as hell.

Personally, I'm happy with mine, but I do wish the side knee guard was smaller and the liners were removable. The upcoming 2012 Projekt shins (in the product catalogue JR posted) address both of those minor issues.

I'm tempted to go RBK7k or 9k, they seem to have the roundest knee caps. Does anyone know if the "vents" in the front actually do much?

I have the RBK 7K's, and don't seem to have a problem getting up due to them being pointy.

I don't find the vents do much of anything, my legs still sweat like crazy. That said, I'm new and these are my first shins, so take my advice with a grain of salt.
