#eight 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2012 What do you know about filing down a stick blade? I am currently using the Bauer One Pro P14 curve. I have the same in Warrior blades, but the toe is different. This is a carbon blade.. will it be ok to file it down and shape it by taking about 10mm off? I want to do it, but don't want to ruin the blade. Please advise.

hockeymass 11 Report post Posted April 19, 2012 This is the blade I have and want to file down:http://www.warrior.c...t=2&cgid=210020You're going to ruin the blade. You will wreck the carbon fiber wrap and expose the interior foam. It will compromise the structural integrity of the blade and over time water will get into the interior and break down the materials.
#eight 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2012 Thank you! is there anyway to file it down then seal it at all?
stick9 905 Report post Posted March 16, 2013 Just took my Mako to the sanding wheel. I loved the stick but couldn't deal with the square toe. I grazed the core in one tiny spot but everywhere else was solid. How bad did I compromise the integrity of the blade? It was either sand the blade or get rid of the stick. The carbon fibre walls on blades are very thin (generally similar in thickness to the walls of the shaft), if you try to significantly change the shape of the blade you'll quickly go right through it.
