Sharpie work on grip?

I have a 65s grip and was wondering if it's ok to sharpie over the grip. Will it rub off onto my gloves?

What are you looking to sharpie? Do you just want to draw on the stick?

I usually write my number on my grip using a sharpie and haven't had any probs with colour run but ymmv
