I've trained with the Tridents, some of the nicest guys you could meet. All in all the article is fairly accurate. We have one public rink to serve a population of roughly 1.5 million. Occasionally a team might pick up an hour ice time in the Belfast Giants arena the Odyssey on a game day, but other than that ice time is restricted to 10.15 to 11.30pm. There's a New rink in Dublin, NHL sized opposed to dundonald ice bowl which is Olympic sized. Best of luck to the guys!

Also, I can't help feeling there might be a security risk with their names being mentioned. Things are starting to heat up here again.

My next door neighbor's family comes from there. They are indeed mad for football. His dad still plays, and coaches kids' league, and professes to despise hockey. But I think it's just jealousy.
