Pro Stock in Edmonton/Calgary

Recommended Posts

I am going to Edmonton this weekend and was wondering where the Oilers consign thier stuff to or any place that has pro stock gear. I will also be passing through Calgary so anywhere in either place would be great.

I actually just moved to Calgary a couple of weeks ago! How is the Flames equipment sale? is it usually packed?

People started lining up today (Friday) at 8am

That place was insane today...

I arrived at around 7:15am and the number on my wristband was #383.

By the time I got in the door I had to spring to action pretty quick because people were like hungry wolves in there.

Got out with the following:

Reebok MHP520 pro stock 2-piece pants - love em, they're like a tank but still have great movement.

Jofa 8800 shoulder pads - brand new, with original tags.

#27 laundry bag

Roughnecks t-shirt

A lot of the skates were in really rough shape, or modified quite heavily with shims and lifts. Worry about some of the kids who'll be skating in them now - hoping their parents have the sense to get them set up properly for the individual skater. Saw one pair of 11k with a fairly decent crack in the outsole - buyer beware at $200 I guess.

All but two pairs of gloves were gone by the time I got in. The two pairs left weren't custom, and the palms were pretty beat. No thanks.

Didn't touch the sticks. Not willing to pay that much for something without warranty that I'll still snap in less than a month.

There were some pretty sweet jofa shins, brand new or close to it, but the wolves got to them before I could. They were just a sight in the distance.

I did fairly well based on my position in line. I guess I need to take a few days off work next year and camp out for the good stuff. LOL
